    Holly Cottage, Snitterfield

    The brief was to carefully extend this delightful Victorian property by providing a two storey brick extension together with a fully glazed conservatory.

    The building, originally two small cottages, dates from the late 1800's. Its fine brick detailing and windows are of particular interest.

    The challenge was to design an extension that could sympathetically blend in with the existing building. All of the brickwork details were included on the extension as were the period windows.

    This Grade II* Listed Building had fallen into disrepair and required extensive renovation of both the interior and exterior.

    Careful repair and internal remodelling produced a beautiful seven-bedroom country home.

    Some of the infilled windows were opened up in an attempt to return some of the property's original features. A new internal staircase was designed in accordance with period details. This provided easier access to the attic floor, which housed additional bedrooms, bathrooms and office areas.
